Applying The Theory: Vernallis

Our music video follows Vernallis main conventions found in music videos. These are as follows;

  • Editing is rhythmic and is connected to the song
- The shots change on beat/ in time with the music. This is clear from the beginning of our music video, as it starts off with a piano instrumental which is simple and also makes it easy for us to change the shot in time to the music. What the shot is of: the shot in the beginning is of scenery and our titles of introducing the artist and the song.

- During the chorus the music speeds up, so our shots on screen will do the same, we will cut on the beat, as we feel it will be aesthetically pleasing and excite the audience.

  • Camera usually moves in time with the music
